The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has unanimously affirmed the decision of the Federal High Court recognising Barrister AbdulGhani Rotimi Arobo as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency of Ondo State.
The appellate court gave the decision while resolving five appeals filed by Hon. Oluwatimehin Emmanuel Adelegbe, Engr. Kayode Ijalana, Dr. Abiola Oshodi, and the APC, challenging the judgment of the Federal High Court.
The appeals sought to overturn the lower court’s decision, which recognised Barrister Arobo as the rightful APC candidate for the House of Representatives seat.
However, the Court of Appeal resolved the issues raised in the various appeals in favour of Barrister Arobo, thereby affirming the decision of the trial court.
The ruling reinforces the Federal High Court’s judgment on the APC candidacy for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
